Our style is relaxed and fun with a shed load of candid thrown in. And if you’re worried about about feeling or looking awkward please don’t because our sixth sense is actually “camera ninja”. Yes, that’s an official term.

We absolutely love to capture those genuine memories rather than "stand-and-smile-at-the-camera" images that make you die a little inside.

Because after all, when you look back on your life you won't care about a stiff, awkward posed version of you, that really doesn't reflect your personalities at all.

What you will want to remember is that particular in-joke, that stupid little dance you both do or way their nose scrunches up when they burst out laughing.

Aimee and Ash were the photographers for our wedding and they were fabulous. Even just from the sneak peek gallery (which we got the next day..!) we can tell that they have captured the energy and the love from the day perfectly. They were great at directing us and the whole party to get some lovely posed shots but also got lots of incredible natural/candid photos of people. My husband and I are not natural models(!) but they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. The photos are something that we will treasure forever. Aimee was also great in the run up to the big day, keeping in touch regularly and always there if we had any questions. I would 100% recommend Aimee for any of your photography needs!

do you hate having your photo taken?

this is the most common concern people express to me before they book, and this bride Louise was no exception!

I always say that it’s not your job to be photogenic.
it’s my job to make sure you feel comfortable, and to bring the best out in you.

having your photo taken isn’t something you do every day, you’re going to feel somewhat awkward, apprehensive and worry about what to do with your hands and “why is my face doing this weird smile”

but honestly, I get the most natural looking photos by constantly talking to you, getting you to tell me your stories, I might (read: always) say the odd inappropriate comment and I continue to take photos way past that awkward stage.

by the end of the day you won’t even think twice about me taking the photos, you’ll be so used to it that, dare I say it, you’ll even start to like it!

I know you probs don’t believe me right now but trust me, it always happens 😄🫶🏻

The most beautiful couple.

Aimee and Sean had their wedding at the beautiful black barn of Crumplebury in Worcestershire which was honestly one of the most stunning venues I’ve ever seen.

They also agreed on a name that they both changed their surname to, and then announced it after the ceremony. I thought that was one of the best things I’d ever heard of! 🖤🤍🧡

Can I ask you something? 🤔

Have you ever considered having a family photoshoot at home?

I’m guessing probably not, and if I weren’t a photographer I wouldn’t either! I’d probably wonder why anyone would want to invite someone in to take photos while their house is a mess, there’s a huge pile dirty washing and you’ve not managed to have a shower for longer than 5 minutes in weeks.

Please, let me convince you that all those things are exactly the reason why these types of photos are even more beautiful.
They’re raw, authentic, full of love.
They tell a story.
They have the ability to transport you back to that exact moment in your life once it’s passed by.
You’ll again be able to smell the baby powder, hear the favourite nursery rhyme and feel the soft baby skin.

You won’t care what you looked like, that there was a sink full of washing up or that your shoulder had sick stains on it.

You’ll look back and remember the moments so fondly, you’ll be able to retell so many stories from one photo.

That’s why you should have some family photos at home.
The place where you brought the baby home to.
The place that has the chair you always sat in for the afternoon nap.
The place where your baby learnt to walk.
The place where you all feel safe, comfortable, YOU.

There’s so much beauty in the chaos and I feel so unbelievably privileged to be invited in to preserve these moments for so many families 🥹

This is Helen.

Before the shoot, Helen sent me a message saying how nervous she was and how she didn’t think she was photogenic.

I think you’ll agree that she absolutely doesn’t look nervous and she absolutely is photogenic.

Believe me; “I’m nervous” and “I’m not photogenic” are the most common concerns people express to me before their session.

And, I just want to reiterate that it’s the photographers job to ensure that they calm your nerves and create the best possible photos for you.

It’s not your job to be photogenic, and OF COURSE you’re going to be at least a bit nervous- it’s not everyday that someone takes your photo for like an hour straight 😆

Trust me, there is honestly no such thing as not photogenic.

Not in front of my lens, anyway.

ever heard of prisms?

in photography they are little pyramids and cubes of glass that when held up to the lens cause refracted light and reflections like these

but that’s the boring bit

really what they do is add an extra element to your photos that just make them even more special and act as a visual metaphor for:

the light you provide
the different dimensions of life
the different versions of yourself
the reflection we do on ourselves

… and the rest

or maybe I’m just looking too deep into it?

but isn’t that what we’re here to do, look deeply?

if I said Isabella is one of those special sort of souls, it would be an understatement

whilst she was having her make up done, I asked her what she wanted to convey in her photos and as she added some extra gold sparkles to the sides of her eyes she looked at me and said

“a wild, powerful, feminine energy”

and she really meant it.

her work is a mix of her two sides - the professional and the wild, both equally as powerful as each other

she brought along things that were important to her;

cacao
scarves
spices
drum
symbols
sheepskin

and two changes of clothes that portrayed those two sides

as we were shooting I told her what a beautiful force of a woman she was and she said she was just learning

she didn’t look like a woman that was learning

she looked like a woman that had fully unleashed her truth -

the one that holds the wisdom not just of this lifetime but of ancient ones gone by

that’s is what’s so powerful about a shoot like this

a selfie just doesn’t convey the same energy or power

they’re not just photos, they’re stories to be told and energies to be conveyed
